Hi Everyone

I have the unenviable task of clearing my late fathers workshop. He died in 2009 and whilst my mother was still living in the house there was no urgency to clear it out. However, mum passed away on August 1st and the house is now being sold.

I have stacks of power tools - 110 and 240, gas and arc welding kit, all of which I am quite comfortable with. However, he also had a Myford ML7 - one owner from new (1949 I think). I know very little about Myfords except there seems to be very little you cannot do with one if you have the appropriate attachments! Its all well outside my comfort zone.

I am hoping that there is some kind soul in the Cambridge area who knows all about Myfords and what to look for or look out for. To the best of my knowledge it has had a fairly easy life and knowing Dad it will have been well looked after. Problem is there are loads of bits and pieces that go with it that I don't really know what they are for. Hence my need for a Myford guru. I also need some idea of what I should ask for it. I have looked at sales on fleabay and can't figure it out. Ultimately it will probably end up for sale here - once I have some idea of what 'it' is!

Everything is located in Histon, just north of Cambridge, CB24 9??.

If you think you could offer some words of wisdom perhaps you could drop by pretty much any time of day or any day of the week and I'll give you the grand tour, a cuppa and a natter! All socially distanced of course ;o)

regards
