For Sale: Union Jubilee wood lathe.

Tue 21st Jul '20

Advert ID: 38245

Machines (Large Tools)
Details:
A Jubilee 5”centre height wood lathe made by Harrison. It is complete with the bowl turning attachment which doubles up as a sanding disc if required. It is a 4 speed machine. It also comes with numerous accessories and extras as seen in the photographs. The items include:-
• 3 tool rests
• 5 face plates
• 2 tail stock chucks with chuck key.
• 8 centres and small drive dogs.
• 17 as new chisels in a box.
• A large pile of sandpaper (a lifetime supply as far as I am concerned).
• 4 new sanding discs for the bowl turning adaptation.
So far as I am aware, the lathe has no damage. It runs quietly and smoothly from a 13 amp socket with no alarming noises.
As can be seen from the photos, the machine is cosmetically challenged, none of which affects its functionality. There is surface rust due to long term storage in the shed. I made a quick attempt to clean the bed and it has responded very well.
The photos (more are available) should tell it all but if you have questions, please ask.

Collection only. The machine will dismantle quickly and easily into three main pieces for transport in a van or estate car. The headstock is the heaviest part but manageable by two reasonably fit men. The total weight according to the ‘lathes’ website is in the order of 480lbs (218kg). I could deliver within say 50 miles each way for the cost of fuel.

I am reluctant to part with this lathe but I have so many metalwork projects in the queue that it has to go to free up valuable space. Sensible offers on the asking price will be considered.
