Updates

More Features

Well we have more features,

  1. New formatting codes added to the description field. **Bold** --Italic-- and __Underline__ will be converted to HTML5 codes Bold, Italic and Underline. You can use **__combination__** to give a **--__impact__--**. The codes will work over multiple lines so check with the preview that it is formatted correctly, you can copy the codes to make sure you have the right ones. Abuse will result in adverts being deleted.
  2. New photo upload system that will use the inbuilt camera function of phones and tablets, check the images as you need to correct the pictures if they are not rotating correctly. Bad images will be removed.
If you are getting a blank page with just a logo the images failed. Try using a copy saved to your computer and not a webshare. The server can only use web safe jgp, gif or png images and not viseos. If you see a page with only the logo after uploading the images it faid to upload the photo due to restraints so please used saved images of less than 10MB each in that case.
  3. Web URL links have been updated to allow the newer TLD (Top Level Domains) and allow the number domains. It will now search for the links in the details text adding a https:// to any it finds to help avoid weaker links. I will also pick up typo's like ne space after a full stop so request checking the preview of your advert and using the edit button to correct mistakes.
  4. Use correct sentience formatting rules, a space after the colon: semi-colon; comma, full stop. and exclamation! characters. URL address will use words with dots between the words without spaces and if the system sees these it will treat them as URL links. So please use the preview allows you access to the edit button to change the mistakes otherwise the adverts will just be removed.
  5. NEW! logo after 10 years the tread board needed repainting, if any remember the old Green text logo might remember how the tread patten ended up becoming the background. The photos have also been upgraded to add logo's and date/time stamps to the images on upload so that the photos are noticeable for people linking to them.

For Sale: Quick Change tool post and holders

Tools & Parts (Small tooling)
See all ads from Ian Haynes
Details:
This quick change tool post system was deliver new with a Mach L-1340 Industrial lathe. The L-1340 is a Colchester Student/Master Lathe so the system should fit on equivalent scale machines. The tool post itself is approx 3.25” tall and approx 4” square.

It comes with 6 tool holders, 3 designed to take square or rectangular tools, the slot in the tool holder is just under 11/8” tall. 2 tool holders are designed to take round tools, the hole in the tool holders is approx 24mm diameter. One tool holder is similar to the plain type but has a V in the bottom face for round tool holders.

The tool post is marked “Fmco” which I assume to be the original manufacturer.

There are three spanners with the equipment, a square key to tighten the square headed clamp screws in the tool holders, a hexagon key to clamp the tool holders in the tool post, and a home made hexagon key to clamp the tool post on the compound slide.

This equipment has had some light use but it more or less as new.

Can be posted at cost or collected from Cheshire.

For Sale: Quick change tool post and holders—original Myford eqpt.

Details:
Quick change tool post and 14 tool holders.

The basis of this set of equipment was supplied as original equipment with my Myford 254 Lathe and I believe that it is also suitable for Myford 7 series lathes.

Additional tool holders were added to the original equipment, they came from a range of sources now lost in the mists of time, but all compatible with the original tool post. The tool post is marked as being manufactured by Bison and carries the part number 4414-48x37.

12 of the tool holders are of the plain type 4494-48 to take square or rectangular tools, one is of type 4495-48 with a v groove in the bottom to allow round tools to be used if required (does not prevent it being used for square or rectangular tools) and one is a parting tool holder type 4496-48. The parting tool holder has a chip out of the bottom following a bit of a crash years ago. Since then it has been on the shelf and I have been using a carbide tipped tool (Greenwood’s Q cut) in one of the other holders ever since.

Postage cost would be added to the price at cost, or the equipment could be collected from Cheshire.
