The clearout continues....
This is a 'Diacator' centering indicator by Diatest of Germany - used to centre a milling machine or similar over a hole or shaft.
The indicator is mounted in the spindle of the machine, a suitable 'finger' chosen and the machine roughly centred over the hole/shaft with the 'finger touching. Whilst holding the radial 'handle' to stop the dial rotating, the machine spindle is slowly rotated (dial remains stationary) and the machine table moved until the pointer is stationary on the dial.
Supplied with 4 interchangeable arbors to mount to the spindle (10, 12 and 16 mm plain, to match milling cutter shanks, and no 1MT - if you need adaptors to fit larger morse tapers, just ask). Can cope with holes from 1.5 to 120 mm in diameter and shafts from 5 to 110.
Comes in its own, wooden, box, 240 x 110 x 55 mm.
This, as far as I can see, is still a current model (I've found a retailer asking £1184 + VAT), with a pdf of the manual available online.
If this unit has been used - it shows no signs of use, so may well be 'new old stock'
