Here are three reference books for sale,
First is a copy of Newnes engineers reference book by FJ Camm, sixth edition, 1954 complete with its period bookmark . in good condition
second is a copy of Machinerys Handbook, 16th edition, 1959 in good condition.
Third is a set of Newnes complete engineer data sheets,there's no date on it but looking at the sheets inside its about the same era as the other two books.
in good condition and all the data sheets are there ,no mucky fingerprints!

Wolf Sapphire HD drill, type 3806, complete with very heavy duty magnetic stand. It is well used, with damage to the paintwork, but no physical damage.
Drill is 240v, 1020 watts, capacity 32mm at 360rpm. (Speed change switch does not work to change speed to 425rpm, but drill works fine at 360rpm). Fitted with a 3 morse taper adaptor as shown on pics
Magnetic drill stand is 240v, with a very powerful magnetic base. It has full 360 degree swivel facility, with a fine lateral adjustment built in. Vertical stroke is 280mm
The drill stand is very heavy and realistically, needs to be collected from 1 mile west of Sandtoft, N Lincs. I am willing to package it for collection if the buyer wishes to organise his own courier.

This was bought a few weeks ago for use on a small old milling machine that had been fitted with a side-mounted Myford motor platform and countershaft bracket. I quickly discovered that the geometry was wrong because the motor mount/countershaft support was from an ML7 and the clutch countershaft/swing arm bracket meant it interfered with the belt to the milling machine spindle so could not be used unless I had it so the clutch operating lever was at the rear! So, need to find a new home for it!
It is complete and in very nice condition as can be seen – the polythene bag contains. all the small parts (but a small woodruff key may be needed). Being antiquated myself I would prefer collection - might be able to ship the thing if I can find a suitably sized and strong box but might have to send in separate packages. Total weight around 10kg. Shipping via EVRI would be around £18 for single or 2 packages.

I don't know what size the last two items on the list are. I'd be interested to know if anyone can decode the markings on them.
I'd also be interested to know if anyone can tell me what the last item in the first photograph is for. It appears to be a 3 fluted drill but has no point.

A good machine centering scope by Istema Switzerland, their Spectros model dating from 1960's. This has the revolving cross hairs, 4-axis adjustable centering, and diopter adjustment. There are 4 screw-in ES5 led bulbs giving a very bright image ie from a plug-in 9V battery or low voltage supply. The paint finish to the top is worn, but all works well and the optics give a good image. There is a 10mm mounting arbor which can be exchanged. Please see photos for condition. Emco mill/drill. Not used for the last ten years and only ever used for lightweight materials and runs quietly. There is virtually no backlash on any axis and the mill is fitted with adjustable feed nuts to compensate for any wear in the future. The owner was a dolls house maker and this machine has been unused since his passing. The machine has been kept in a heated workshop its entire life. Comes with a number of accessories including x2 DTIs, one of which needs fettling and a small rotary table. There is however no tool holding device but it has a 2MT quill for which holders are readily available or 2MT collets. There is no draw bar but the quill bore accepts a 10mm bar so M10 or 3/8W could easily be fashioned. I will supply a piece of 10mm bar if needed. This is a very heavy item and will need splitting to move but I am able to help with this. I have more images of the machine and accessories if needed. Price is ONO but silly offers will be ignored

Castings part set, part machined for a Stuart Turner No4 Vertical engine.
Found in a workshop clear out. Despite a fractionaly offset casting at the lower end the crosshead bore is coaxial with the cylinder bore, I have checked this with a wring fit mandrel through the stuffing box and a dummy piston, as see the last picture, Both bores are smooth but cylinder will need lapping. The bolt pitching for the top cover is a one position only. No box bed or other castings I am afraid, if the do turn up I will contact the buyer. I think that these castings are quite as they are not quite as crisp as the Walton on Thames products. without the box it stands 8.5" high. I am asking £75, less than the cost of the baseplate casting alone from S-T's! Thank you for looking!
